Rico’s Cap & Gown Session
I’ll start off by saying, I’m not much of a writer. That would be my sister. However, I’ve seen photo blogs and plenty of other websites with blogs, which is cool. It’s good for SEO. I’m in marketing, I’m gonna do marketing stuff. So therefore, here’s the first post of my blog.
The first session I’m going to start with is Rico’s cap & gown session. He called me the night before and said “are you free around noon tomorrow, I just got my cap & gown.” Cool, last minute session. I was very excited because I did get a very nice new lens, so it was THE opportunity to play around with it.
The day of, we’re at Northern State University and start off out by the galleries. I got a little concerned with the sun being BRIGHT at noon, however, it ended up working out really well. NSU has some good shady spots. We ventured around campus, took some detail shots, and headed over to our professor’s house. Rico went up to the door, knocked, and requested that they met us in a few minutes for a photo. They obliged.
Rico and I wandered around for a bit, eventually heading to the art studios. We ran into our friend Aly, who was on her merry way to do some dillydallying. Rico told me, “I would ask Aly for a photo, but she looks like a homeless person.” If you know Rico, you know he’s joking, but that was such a thing to say.
I can’t wait to see next Spring’s graduates! If you’re from Aberdeen and graduating next year, I’d love to hear from you and get a session on my calendar!
